After the 6-1 thrashing we got off the Aussies, you'd be forgiven for thinking England would crash out of the Champions' Trophy in the group stages,
but having beaten Sri Lanka and now South Africa, we've already qualified for the semis!

Well I'm pleased we beat the Saffers the other day but it was a mediocre preformance by them and chasing 250 in 50 overs is infinitely easier than chasing
240 in twenty overs...

So we won a rain-shortened series 2-1, but our performances were inconsistent and mediocre. I think we can win the Test series against SA, but only if we score
more runs than we usually do - that means KP will have to find form, as well as Strauss and Trott stay in form.
Maybe we're heading in the right direction but with so many false-dawns and odd series scores that don't reflect our real ability, I doubt it.
