England lost to the netherlands, but that's OK because we're almost guaranteed to go through to the next round with the run-rate table. Ireland beat
Bangladesh, and so will be going through to the next round (as they did in the 2007 50-over competition), which is great news. Better still is the fact that
with their defeat at Sri Lankan hands last night, the Aussies are out. Ahead of the Ashes this is a fairly good sign for England.

A half-hearted performance against the Windies has seen England go out in the super 8s (expected, I suppose) but we looked pretty poor all the way through the
competition. At least we didn't go out before the Aussies.
