I don't really have one either.
I don't really care for his earliest stuff, though. "If Homosexuals went back into the closet, then there would be no more Homosexuality in this world" - Tom DeLay, former US Congressman R-TX {quit in disgrace} "Banning abortions would stop quite a few from taking place in this country." Dunno, really. I enjoyed the Flying Leathernecks and The Shootist. No others spring immediately to mind.

Tootsie.
I have never had time for privileged people in safe countries who announce that they cannot see the difference between democracy and dictatorship. I gave
up on Amnesty International when it said that Guantanamo Bay, in which the guards killed no one, was the modern equivalent of Stalin's Gulag, through which
the secret police killed millions. - Nick Cohen

How could John Wayne have been in Tootsie when he died several years before it was made?
Just checked IMDb and, as I thought, The Shootist was his last film. That was 1976. Tootsie made it's debut on 17 DEC 1982. John Wayne died on 11 July 1979. ![]()

True Grit, probably. I'm not really a John Wayne fan - he couldn't even ride a horse and was never a war hero in his own right, so I never really took
him seriously. I remember when I was a kid thinking "how did this bloke ever get to be an actor?" False as a nine-bob note.

Yeah, but all of John Wayne's scenes wearing a dress were shot right before he died.

The Wayne family asked for that.
