If you do not believe...it has its perks also... You don't need to think about your behaviour having a lasting affect on a possible 'life-after' ...so go right ahead and do what you want. There is no reason to be 'good'Typical BS from a religionist, sigh. I behave decently as it is simply the right thing to do, moreover, I do it without the expectation of a reward so it may well be that I am more ethical/moral than religionsts. |

Lady...I'm not implying all atheists are 'bad' ...or disregard the 'laws' ...I'm just 'generalizing' basic ideals that many
think.
If you think...that the 'religious fanatics' don't think this...you are mistaken....they do. Not only do you think badly on them, They ...think badly on 'Atheists' ...that was my point. Maybe sometimes...my way of explaining...passes by ...I try. |

Tigs this is not a matter of like or dislike, and really you are not unlikable, it is more a matter of people who have argued the god thingy so many times many
of us are just plain put out by religionist. Seems to me that you are more of the theist and less of the religionist and that is all good except that
religionist tend to have more difinitive answers and are generally more of a pain.

AND IT BORES ME! What I want to know...and what I am more interested in learning about...... Is HUMAN NATURE! That has little to nothing to do with "Faith" or "Religion" ...and yet, I am learning... And...quickly I might add... That it has 'connections' with many individuals. Connections that are all messed up in their heads.... ~understand my point?~ |

cause a certain amount of conflict even if it is just a matter of disagreement. And this is why I will rarely argue religion ...it isn't a matter of my belief's being 'right or wrong' ...it's a matter more, That people who have strong belief's 'usually' close their mind to the belief's of others, and will argue till they are blue in the face to prove themselves correct...It gets crazy really, and many heated words get exchanged. Personally I don't give a rat's behind who believes what...as long as you don't try and force me to believe what you believe...and expect me to abandon my own free will of thought. simple really...YET for some it is an argument just to say to them "I don't wish to argue religion with you" ...it's absolutely nutty really. |

People who don't wish to argue shouldn't visit debate forums.

Good point...they shouldn't
That would be why mostly I come here and read your posts...not write that many myself. I find the debates on your board quite good, and very informative. I have learned lots coming here. Sometimes I have a 'bit' to add, and will...but mostly I steer clear of your debates. It is good to keep learning...that is what I try and do...keep on learning. |
