It's not the first time we've had a great start to a season, but I still can't get used to seeing Favre at QB. It's just weird having the man who used to lead the Pack dressed in purple.

After the 6-1 thrashing we got off the Aussies, you'd be forgiven for thinking England would crash out of the Champions' Trophy in the group stages, but having beaten Sri Lanka and now South Africa, we've already qualified for the semis!

Umpire dies in cricket accident

A cricket umpire has died after being hit on the head by the ball during a match.

Alcwyn Jenkins, 70, was umpiring a league match between Swansea and Llangennech at the St Helen's ground in Swansea on Saturday.

Neil Hobbs, honorary chairman of the South Wales Cricket Association, said it was a tragic accident.

England lost to the netherlands, but that's OK because we're almost guaranteed to go through to the next round with the run-rate table. Ireland beat Bangladesh, and so will be going through to the next round (as they did in the 2007 50-over competition), which is great news. Better still is the fact that with their defeat at Sri Lankan hands last night, the Aussies are out. Ahead of the Ashes this is a fairly good sign for England.

Slicks again - good. Reduced aero downforce - good. Cost cutting - needed. Rewarding winning over finishing - well, they used to, but they changed the points, didn't they? It used to be 10,6,4,3,2,1 - 1st to 6th place (well, originally it was 9 points for a win and 1pt for fastest lap). Then they changed it to 10,8,6,5,4,3,2,1 1st to 8th a couple of years back, which I disagreed with.
